After School Enrichment Program

Mary Mitchell Family and Youth Center's After-School Enrichment Program is open for youth between the ages of 5-12 years old.
The program runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 am - 6:00 pm from the second week of September until the last day of school. 2026-2027 After-School Program Dates:Thursday, September 10th - Monday, June 28th
During the after-school hours, children get to do various activities each day that range from: Homework Help Tutoring Reading ArtPhysical Fitness & Sports and More!
Children also receive a nutritious hot meal for lunch and a snack every day.

Starting in the 2026 - 2027 School Year, we will be a DYCD COMPASS Site, and student enrollment will be done through DYCD Connect. More information coming soon!
Outcomes for the children
  • Develop skills in studio art, arts and crafts, sports, piano playing, leadership, teamwork, and community improvement.
  • Learn about the importance of eating healthy and regular exercise. They get a healthy meal daily and participate in fitness activities at least twice weekly.
  • Learn civic responsibility through community improvement projects.
  • Eligible elementary school children and youth in the Social Justice Club have one-on-one tutoring at least three days per week. Every child is given general help to complete their homework each day.
  • They learn teamwork, community building, and life skills through group activities and workshops.

Summer Camp Enrichment Program

Mary Mitchell Family and Youth Center's summer camp is open for youth between the ages of 5-12 years old. The program runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm from the last day of school in June until the second week of August. 2026 Summer Camp Update! Due to scheduled construction taking place at the Mary Mitchell Center, there will be no Summer Camp Program from July to August 2026. Programs will resume in September 2026. - We apologize for any inconvenience. During the summer, children get to do various activities each day that range from: Art Physical fitness at the Mary Mitchell Center & our local Parks Sports Gardening Wet & Fun Days! Trips to local attractions! Children also get served a nutritious hot meal for Breakfast & Lunch, with a snack every day. Interested in enrolling your child(ren)?
