Tanima Dance
Since 1982, the Tanima Organization's mission has been to keep the community youth engaged in cultural activities. Their activities serve as tools for their education, bringing youth closer to their roots and awareness of their environment, teaching them to feel proud of their heritage, and uplifting their self-esteem. The activities offered at Tanima support youth by creating a positive environment in which they can forge a better future by becoming productive members of any community they choose to become a part of as they reach adulthood. The organization provides the opportunity for young people and adults to enroll in various classes, such as dancing, singing, and modeling. They also perform in various community activities; Broadway shows with Tina Thompson, the Skin Dance Company, parades, and festivals.
